How to care for our products

The best way to clean wood is with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth making sure to remove all moisture. If needed, a small amount of mild soap may be used on the damp cloth. Do not use any chemical cleaners, abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or solvents that may affect the finish. 

To clean mirror glass, use a small amount of white vinegar on a cloth followed by a dry cloth. 

Direct sun exposure will cause mild fading in the wood overtime. The paint used in Lower Astronomy Studios products is light-fast. 

Slight wood movement will happen naturally with the change of seasons, temperature, and humidity regardless of material age, manufacturer, or finish applied. It is generally unnoticeable and our products are built with this in mind. Just think of it as something you can count on in life.
