Cancellation, Return, and Refund Policy

All sales are final. If you wish to cancel an order, you must do so in writing via email at lowerastronomystudios@gmail.com within 24 hours of placing your order. If you wish to request a refund due to damage upon arrival of an order, you must do so in writing at lowerastronomystudios@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving your order. We cannot be held responsible for damages reported after the 24 hour window. 

Any returned products must be received in original packaging within 15 days of the delivery date. Please check your order thoroughly to make sure you are completely satisfied before discarding packaging.  Custom orders are not returnable. If you are not happy with your purchase for other reasons, please let us know why. We stand behind all our products and will work with you to determine the best solution.

Shipping

We ship nationally via FedEx, UPS, and USPS, depending on the size of the item and destination and/or customer choice and preference. Our Lower Astronomy Project kits are shipped via USPS flat rate boxes. We ship world-wide using various carriers depending on the size of the item and the destination. Lower Astronomy Studios can not be held responsible for delays that are out of our control. All of our products are quality checked before they leave the studio in perfect condition. Please check your goods upon arrival. If you sign for the order and they have been damaged during transport, the carrier company will not assume liability. 

Warranty

Lower Astronomy Studios warranties products from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the ship date. Conditions resulting from shipping damage, normal wear, inappropriate use, extreme humidity and temperatures, direct sunlight, water and other liquids are not covered in this warranty. 

Warranty claims for defects in materials and workmanship for periods longer than two years will be handled on a case-by-case basis. All aspects of this warranty are void if a person or company other than Lower Astronomy Studios performs or re-performs any work within the scope of the warranty.

Lower Astronomy Project kits do not have a warranty. If kits have missing parts or a part of a kit fails under reasonable circumstances of assembly or play, Lower Astronomy Studios will send the part to the client at no cost. 

Care

The best way to clean wood is with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, making sure to remove all moisture. If needed, a small amount of mild soap may be used on the damp cloth. Do not use any chemical cleaners, abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or solvents that may affect the finish. 

To clean mirror glass, use a small amount of white vinegar on a cloth followed by a dry cloth. 

Direct sun exposure will cause mild fading in the wood overtime. The paint used in Lower Astronomy Studios products is light-fast. 

Slight wood movement will happen naturally with the change of seasons, temperature, and humidity regardless of material age, manufacturer, or finish applied. It is generally unnoticeable and our products are built with this in mind. Just think of it as something you can count on in life.
